This organisation, based in Southampton, is a registered charity providing welfare support to the families of people associated with the maritime sector.

Their general secretary approached WBASL in 2004, when their accountant was retiring. The accountant had been employed for 2 to 3 days per week therefore this had been quite a costly undertaking for them.

With several million pounds invested from which grants and support is allocated it was also imperative that the quarterly reports produced for the trustees were 100% accurate and timely.

Wbasl completely replaced their accountant appointing a Senior Accounts Manager to oversee the management of their accounts. We provide all the day-today accounting support for them.

We review and monitor and report on the investment portfolio, deal with all book-keeping issues, payroll etc and provides accurate and comprehensive reports to the Board of trustees on a quarterly basis.

Our fees for this service:  £1,175.00 per month

My thanks to Jane and you for all the excellent work on our accounts

Leading on from this success we also underook work for another charity. We were recommended to tender for the role of accountant and accounts department for this, a maritime charity, based in Berkshire. We took over the full accounting role for them in January 2008. There are many aspects to this charity which specialises in providing educational support to families of seafarers.

Their income comes from many sources including commercial property income, grants, donations, legacies and the running of a golf club on the beautiful estate owned by the charity (for which we also provided a complete accounting service).

By utilising our service this charity reduced its overhead expenditure by £20,000 per annum.

Our totally inclusive fees  for this service:   £1,685.00 plus Vat per month
